Dennis Abraham
Founder and Chairman

Meet Dennis

Dennis founded our company in 2001 with the goal of making HR expertise available to every business — regardless of size. He has over 35 years of executive experience in Silicon Valley business, including in the commercial facility management and temporary personnel and staffing industries. He holds degrees in accounting and data processing, is recognized as an expert in online solutions for small businesses, and has been a featured speaker at industry conferences across the country. Outside of work, Dennis enjoys traveling with his wife and playing golf with anyone with a club and a ball.

Nathan Christensen
CEO

Meet Nathan

Nathan is a recognized innovator and leader in the field. He is a regular speaker at industry conferences, his articles have appeared in publications such as Fast Company and legal journals, and in 2014 he was named a “Game Changer” by Workforce Magazine. Nathan is also an adjunct professor of law at Lewis & Clark Law School. Before joining HRAnswerLink, Nathan practiced as an attorney with Perkins Coie LLP and as a management consultant with The Boston Consulting Group. He holds a BA with Honors from Stanford University, a JD with Honors from the University of Chicago Law School, and is a Teach for America alumnus. On weekends, Nathan can be found coaching his sons’ little league teams and taking direction from his daughter from the back of his bicycle.

Camie Calderon
Director of Sales

Meet Camie

Camie leads our Sales and Client Success teams, building partnerships in the payroll, insurance, banking, franchise and other industries. Before joining HRAnswerLink, Camie was Manager of Business Development at the Better Business Bureau, where she led the regional sales teams to record breaking results and advised other sales teams around the country. Camie’s experience working with small businesses nationwide helped her see the need for an HR solution, which brought her to HRAnswerLink. Born and raised in Portland, Camie enjoys running, spending time with friends and family, and attending local events and fundraisers.

Lyndsay Christensen
Director of HR Services

Meet Lyndsay

Lyndsay leads our team of HR professionals and consulting services. Lyndsay previously worked as the U.S. Manager of HR Administration at Omnicom Media Group, headquartered in New York. Lyndsay holds a BS in Business Administration from Santa Clara University and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the HR Certification Institute as well as a Senior SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) by the Society of Human Resource Management. When she’s not at the office, Lyndsay is exploring all the kid-friendly restaurants Portland has to offer with her husband, two sons, and daughter.

Kerry Lear
Director of HR Content

Meet Kerry

Kerry leads our team of content authors, researchers, and developers, who build the trainings, wizards, eAlerts, guides, and other tools our clients rely on to manage their HR compliance needs. Before entering the HR field, Kerry practiced as a family law attorney. Kerry holds a BA from Columbia University and a JD with honors from Lewis & Clark Law School. She is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) by the HR Certification Institute and has been designated as a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) by the Society for Human Resource Management. Kerry spends her free time chasing her two-year old and doing her best to avoid the never-ending home repair projects that come with a hundred-year-old house.

Tricia Christensen
CFO and Director of Operations

Meet Tricia

Tricia leads our operations, finance, and billing teams. Before joining HRAnswerLink, Tricia directed the marketing department for Berberian European Motors and the SpanosBerberian Wine Cellars based in California. Tricia holds a BS in Business Administration and an MBA in Business Management from the University of the Pacific. She spends her evenings cheering for her kids from the baseball bleachers and the sidelines of the equestrian center.

John Ratcliff
Director of Technology

Meet John

John leads our Technology team and its development of our web, mobile, and marketing applications. Before joining HRAnswerLink John authored several software applications for tracking warehouse inventory, receiving, purchasing, and outside contract labor for a large private university in Southern California. John holds both a BA and Masters degree from Biola University.  John spends his free time playing guitar and going for hikes with his wife and daughter.

Alain Schotland
Creative Director

Meet Alain

Alain oversees our marketing and design operations, ensuring that we present a compelling, consistent brand and identity across our web, mobile, and print platforms. A graduate of Boston’s Emerson College and the Art Institute of Portland, Alain previously co-owned and operated a graphic design agency, and headed a marketing and design team at StanCorp Financial Group, Inc., a Fortune 1000 financial services corporation based in Portland, Oregon. In his spare time, Alain likes to travel with his wife, son, and daughter, and work on growing his repertoire of Wham karaoke songs.
